Facing the Storm, 11" x 17"
There have
been storms in our lives that have chased us. And it feels as though every time
we find that peaceful place to rest, the storm is once again on the move in our
direction. But we don't have to live in turmoil. The storm no longer has to
steal our peace and joy, for we now stand on the side of the Prince of Peace.
He holds His hand out to us to stand our ground, to lift up the sword of the
Spirit and to fight the dark clouds that tumble our way. The hill where we
stand is called Victory. It's time to face the storm.

Dance in My Storm, 11" x 14"
The enemy
comes in with his storm, and he pours it down against us to frighten us, to make
us cold and frozen in fear. But the Lord has other plans for this storm. As it
pours, He invites us to dance. He whispers to us, ”remember my promises”, as he
peels back the dark and causes a spectrum of light to peak through. When we see
it we laugh with joy, and drink the rain that is trying to break us, allowing it
instead to make us strong...giving us the strength to do as He sang... to dance
in our storm.

Drinking His Glory, 11" x 14"
In those
moments where His love is so deep, where His presence is pouring down like thick
waves through our hearts, drink deeply. The desert land of this world does not
need to be a dry and thirsty place for you and I. Look up! He is pouring down
His refreshment. Open your heart and drink in His glory. The fountain of His
love will never run dry!

Yet He Opened Not His Mouth, 11" x 14"
Jesus,
with meekness and love His clothing, walked to the place where He knew He would
die. Glaring accusations were hurled, lies poured out against Him in torrents
of hatred, yet He opened not his mouth. His blood spilled around Him, warm
pools of sorrow, seeping into the dry earth to break its curse. They mocked Him
and broke Him and sent Him to His death..."led as a lamb to the slaughter." Yet
He opened not His mouth.

But when the Helper Comes, 11" x 14"
The
Lord has sent The Helper to us to be with us, “guiding us into all truth”. In
the blue I see His calm, His mysterious fullness. The fire in His reflection is
His power which bursts forth under the surface of our lives. White light covers
Him, as glory surrounds Him. At creation, the Spirit of God hovered over the
face of the deep. In love He hovers over us, intent on creating in us the
Father’s good pleasure.

Taking Back Ground, 11" x 14"
We
retreated. Our beautiful homeland was laid siege, stolen and stomped under
foot. We look around, our souls are numb with the sounds of the evil ones
coming near. With desperation we fall to the ground, our cheeks stained with
our own blood. We cry for help to any that would hear. A warrior rides up from
the rising golden sun, and pours on us His rich healing love; and then He issues
forth a cry of war. "Rise up on your horses, for it is time to take your
place! It is a time of taking back all that was torn from you!" War cries
filter through our camp as we gear up for battle. His might fills our hearts
and with one mighty rush we advance to take back our stolen ground.
