When Jesus died on the cross He paid the price to erase your debt of sin. When you accept His salvation, you become righteous before God! Jesus freely gives you His righteousness as He takes your sin. No more striving to be perfect or "good", to somehow earn God’s approval. You now belong to Him, His own beloved. "Being justified by faith (believing in Him) we have peace with God through Jesus." (Rom. 5:1) Justified means proven right J haha! This means we don't have to keep trying to prove that we are good...this was done for us when He cried “it is finished, and His perfect blood covered us.
